During the three-day visit, Prime Minister Chinh, his spouse and the high-ranking delegation received a warm and respectful welcome from the President, Government and people of Algeria.

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune affirmed the deep affection he and the Algerian people hold for Vietnam, describing the traditional friendship between the two countries as a “priceless shared asset” that must be preserved and elevated.

He pledged strong support and directed relevant Algerian agencies to work closely with Vietnam to effectively implement existing commitments and agreements, and to soon materialise the newly established Strategic Partnership through concrete, practical cooperation projects.

During talks with Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb, both sides agreed to upgrade bilateral ties to a Strategic Partnership, strengthen political trust, and enhance solidarity and mutual support in multilateral and bilateral frameworks.

The two leaders committed to accelerating negotiations on a goods trade agreement, opening markets for each other’s key products, promoting trade and investment facilitation, and creating a transparent, equitable business environment. They agreed to boost cooperation in strategic sectors such as oil and gas, textiles, and agriculture, while expanding to other mutually beneficial areas.

On this occasion, the two countries signed several cooperation agreements in education and training, housing and urban development, debt settlement, and judicial collaboration, further deepening the Vietnam-Algeria Strategic Partnership.

During the visit, the Prime Minister and his spouse met staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Algeria; attended the Vietnam-Algeria Economic Forum; laid a wreath at the Memorial of the Martyr; visited the National Museum of Moudjahidine; attended the launch of the Arabic edition of the book Dien Bien Phu. They visited Ho Chi Minh Avenue and inaugurated a memorial plaque honouring President Ho Chi Minh; and met the Algerian Vovinam Federation and the national Vovinam team.
