Retail petrol prices have increased from 3 pm on Wednesday, marking a fifth consecutive rise.

Under the decision by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance, the retail prices of E5 RON 92 and E5 RON 95 petrol increased by VND600 and VND920 per litre to VND30,230 and VND31,570 respectively.
Meanwhile, the price of diesel and kerosene increased by VND840 and VND940 per litre to VND26,390 and VND25,340 respectively.
Mazut oil saw a rise of VN310 per kilo to VND20,900.
This is the fifth consecutive rise in petrol prices and the 10th increase since the beginning of 2022. The petrol price hike has resulted in the rise in prices of many other goods and necessities.
Expressing concern about possible inflation at a meeting on Wednesday morning, several National Assembly deputies called on the government to urgently adopt solutions to stabilise petrol prices.
