The carrier had to arrange technicians to check the aircraft to avoid possible issues, which caused the flight to be 40 minutes late.

Many passengers have opened emergency exit doors on Vietnamese airlines’ flights, including those who did it by mistake. For instance, a Taiwanese passenger on Vietnam Airlines’ flight on Kaohsiung-HCM City route attempted to open an emergency exit door when he wanted to go to the toilet. But that was by mistake.

The highest fine for the violation is VND15 million (USD660).
