Over 30-kg python found inside home in Quang Tri

A Burmese python weighing more than 30 kilogrammes was discovered curled up inside a house in Quang Tri Province before being safely captured and released by local authorities.

Pham Van Nam of Bau 3 Hamlet in Tuyen Hoa Commune found the snake in a corner of his home.

Local authorities arrived soon after being notified and used safe-handling methods to capture the animal. Its size and strength made the operation challenging.

A local official said the python could have posed risks to residents, particularly children and household pets, if not detected and handled promptly.
