People gather at the explosion site in Thai Nguyen Province on May 5.
According to Le Thai Anh, Chairman of Phuc Tan Commune, the blast occurred at around 7.15 am on the second floor of a house owned by Vi Van Mung. The explosion caused the walls to collapse and scattered debris and household items dozens of metres away.
Rescue teams recovered one unidentified body from the rubble. The injured victims were identified as Vi Van Mung, his younger brother Vi Van Binh, and their relative Luu Van Tu.
Authorities have secured the scene and launched an investigation to determine the cause of the explosion.
