On January 6th, the cold will move towards the south and affect the southern east and the north central areas, then move on towards the northern west and central areas, according to the national center for hydro meteorological forecasting.
The temperature in Northern provinces will reduce sharply. In the Northern Delta including Hanoi, the temperature fall as low as 13-14C degrees. The weather will become chilly with very low temperatures and showers.
Temperatures in mountain areas like Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Lao Cai and elsewhere will drop to 4-6C degrees at night.
This weather can be dangerous for the health of elderly people and children, especially those who suffer from respiratory disorders. Therefore, it is necessary to have appropriate solutions to keep both human and animals warm.
Due to the cold, northeastern winds will be high, at 6-7 levels or more in the north gulf and central off-shores. The seas will become much rougher also.
Meanwhile, the weather in the south should remain stable; sun shine during the day with no rainfall. The average temperature will be about 22-23C degrees.
