 Myanmar President Htin Kyaw and his wife arrived at Vietnam's Noi Bai International Airport.

The President is accompanied by Mynamar’s Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Aung Thu and Minister of Planning and Finance Kyaw Win, among other high-ranking officials.

President Htin Kyaw, who was born in July 20, 1946 in Yangon, Myanmar, is a Master of Economics and Science. In 1962, he graduated from the English Methodist High School in Rangoon (now Yangon) and then enrolled at Rangoon Arts and Science University and graduated with a master’s degree in economics.

During 1971-1972, the President studied computer science at the University of London, England; and attended computer studies at the Asia Electronics Union in Tokyo, Japan in 1974. He returned to Myanmar and studied at the Rangoon Arts and Science University to complete his second master's degree in 1975. He later studied at the Arthur D. Little School of Management in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the US in 1987.

Regarding his career, President Htin Kyaw was Deputy Division Chief under the Ministry of Industry 2 in 1975 and was appointed as a Deputy Director of the Foreign Economic Relations Department, Ministry of Planning and Finance between 1980 and 1992.

From 1992, he joined in activities of the National League for Democracy in Myanmar and was sworn in as President of Myanmar on March 30, 2016.
