Vietnam 's top badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh has retained his position at 11th in the world rankings, according to the Badminton World Federation.

Vietnam 's top badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh has retained his position at 11th in the world rankings, according to the Badminton World Federation.

The top three positions are occupied by Olympic gold medallist Lin Dan of China , silver medallist Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia and bronze medallist Chen Long of China.

The HCM City-born player, who failed to go through from his qualifying group at the ongoing London Olympics, will compete at the USD50,000 Vietnam Grand Prix Open from August 21-26.
