A man was arrested after he broke into a nursery school and held two children as hostages.

The man broke into the 10A Nursery School on Go Cam Dem Road in Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City, and took two 3-year-old children hostage for 90 minutes before being arrested.
According to initial information, the man arrested has been identified as Cao Quoc Huy, born in 1984 in Quang Ngai, and currently living on Ly Thuong Kiet Street in Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City. Witnesses said they had seen a young man wandering around near the school.
Huy then broke into the headmistress’ office, caused her a minor hand injury then ran into the classes, locked them from the inside and demanded food.
The man was arrested and transferred to police station at 10:35 this morning however police have remained at school to investigate the scene and collect statements.
Thousands of curious people and worried parents surround the nursery school, causing chaos.
Parent Le Thi Hong Thuy said, "I was at work when someone called and said a robber had run into the nursery and was holding kids as hostages. I panicked and ran straight here. I still haven't seen my child yet."
The nursery later allowed the children to leave after they had lunch.
