By 2025, the IT sector will become a fast, sustainable and profitable economic sector with high export earnings.

Accordingly, the sector will strive to achieve a minimum growth rate of 15% per year from now to 2020, focusing on such areas as software, digital and IT service, attract a lot of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) projects in key industries and head to draw US$5 billion in FDI in electronic hardware in the 2015-2020 phase.

Vietnam will increase its competitiveness and maintain the status as one of the 10 top nations in providing software and digital outsourcing services.

Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi will enter the list of the 10 most attractive destinations in global software outsourcing.

The program sets the goal that by 2025, Vietnam will have capacity to develop and produce IT products and services meeting domestic and international demands, creating a firm base for promoting the knowledge-based economy and contributing to mastering information systems, ensuring information security and digital sovereignty.
