According to Le Thi Xuan Lan, deputy head of the Southern Meteorology Hydrology Forecasting Office, cold spells from the northern region recently were shielded by the Hai Van Pass, so they have failed to affect the southern region.

HCM City is facing the hot weather
The south’s dry season this year has come earlier than usual, bringing high temperatures for the region.
HCM City would see the hotter weather between March and early April, Lan added.
In three days to come, HCM City will have light rains to ease the high temperature.
The expert, however, warned local people to protect their health from the city’s air pollution.
