Permanent Deputy PM Nguyen Sinh Hung on August 30 approved with the plan on building a hi-tech agricultural zone in Hoai Duc District, Hanoi, according to an annoucement on the government\'s website.
The 668-ha zone will be located in the two communes of An Thuong and Song Phuong.
Earlier, Vietnam has established hi-tech agricultural zones in some localities to boost agriculture, husbandry and aquaculture.
Hasfarm Company in Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province, has introduced Dutch technologies to its horticultural activities, enjoying economic benefits 20-30 times higher than the normal method.
Some hi-tech agricultural zones in Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Tay Ninh, Binh Duong and other localities are either being built or operating well.
