Hanoi leaders congratulate Catholics on Christmas

Hanoi leaders visited and extended their best wishes for the coming Christmas to the Hanoi Committee for Solidarity of Catholics and Catholic dignitaries and followers.

Hanoi leaders o­n December 20 visited and extended their best wishes for the coming Christmas to the Hanoi Committee for Solidarity of Catholics and Catholic dignitaries and followers.

Prominent among the leaders were the President of the Hanoi People’s Council and Deputy Secretary of the city Party Committee, Ngo Thi Doan Thanh, and officials from the Hanoi Party Committee, People\'s Committee, People\'s Council and Fatherland Front Committee.

On behalf of the city leaders, President of the Hanoi People’s Council Thanh acknowledged and appreciated the positive contributions of the Hanoi Committee for Solidarity of Catholics and its followers in the municipal construction and development process.

She also wished the Committee to continue mobilising Catholics to live the gospel amid the nation, together with city residents to successfully implement the socio-economic tasks for 2011 and contribute to building a more prosperous capital and nation.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hanoi Committee for Solidarity of Catholics, Pham Huy Thong expressed thanks to the city leaders for their care and affirmed that the Committee, Catholic followers and people nationwide will unite to build the national great unity and contribute to the comprehensive development of Hanoi capital city
