| Many administrative procedures in Hanoi need to be eliminated |
Nguyen Thinh Thanh, Chief of the Hanoi People's Committee Office cum Head of Working Group for Project 30 revealed the information this morning April 14.
With a total of 1,816 administrative procedures, Hanoi has the second largest number of procedures in the country, only after Ho Chi Minh City. To date, 71% of these procedures has been revised and simplified, while the nationwide average is only 66%.
The city aims to complete the amendment, abolishment and replacement of proposed procedures by June 30.
According to Thanh, many proposals of simplifying procedures have not yet been effective. They mostly focus on reducing time or supplementing legal foundation for the procedures. Many agencies did not gather opinions from their staff, relevant enterprises and the people. Thus, in the future Hanoi will consult the people and enterprises with an aim of removing unnecessary procedures.
