Farmer survey damaged crops
"We've been taking care of these tomatoes carefully for over a month now and were ready to harvest them," said a farmer, Tran Van Bon. "The storm was so sudden we couldn't save any of them, We don't know how to recoup this crop now."
Another farmer said her lettuce crops were destroyed. "We invested over VND30m to grow cabbages, too, but we've lost it all," she said.
Hail crosses Don Duong District
Da Lat City was also hit by the storm, which last 15 minutes but destroyed half the crops in the area. Many houses lost their roofs.
K'Diem, deputy head of the Don Duong Farmers' Association, said is was the worst hail storm to hit the area in five years.

Authorities in Don Duong District and Da Lat were mobilising forces to help farmers deal with the damage.
