January 11 welcomed the official opening ceremony of the FPT building at Massda industrial park in Da Nang city under the witness of leaders of the city, leaders of FPT Corporation and other subsidiaries, and FPT’s partners from Japan, US, Europe and other countries.
Built on a total area of 1,800 square metres with 5 floors, FPT Da Nang building will satisfy demands for a standard and comfortable working environment for about 1,200 employees.
Bui Thien Canh, Chief Representative of FPT Da Nang, said, “The new office building shows our commitment to developing IT and other industries as well in the central region."
Addressing the onlookers at the opening ceremony, Pham Kim Son, Director of the Department of Information and Communication in Da Nang, said, “The opening of the FPT building is very significant to Da Nang city and I hope this corporation, as one of the leading business in the IT industry, will keep up the growth and positive contributions to the development of the software industry in the city."
In August 2004, FPT opened its branch in Da Nang. The Corporation generated over VND 1.2 trillion in 2009. FPT plans to invest about US$1 billion in building the FPT City zone with a total area of 181 hectares, including a software park, FPT University and resident area.
