The Enterprise Agreement for licensed software standardisation signed by the FPT Corporation (FPT) in 2006 has been extended.
It has been over 3 years since the agreement was signed by FPT, Vietnam’s largest technology solutions company and Microsoft Corporation, the world's leading software provider.
Under the extended agreement, FPT will upgrade its IT infrastructure with Microsoft’s latest software solutions for servers, including Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2, Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 and more. It will also be one of the first enterprises to apply Microsoft Office 2010, anticipated to be launched in 2010. Microsoft’s latest software solutions will allow FPT to more easily explore, manage and control its IT system than previous versions, which will in turn help FPT to cut costs and increase performance efficiency and effectiveness thanks to new improvements in management and usage of natural resources in enterprise.
Nguyen Thanh Nam, General Manager of FPT said: “Nowadays, it is so critical and necessary for all businesses to be aware of the IT significance as an indispensable tool in boosting effectiveness and competitive capabilities."
Christophe Desriac, General Manager of Microsoft Vietnam added, “We are exerting ourselves to help Vietnamese enterprises approach the latest technologies, enabling them to achieve the highest performance effectiveness and efficiency.”
