A family in Ha Nam Province is in need of help to treat the father's illness and support their two children.

Ta Duc Vu, 18, has suffered from cerebral palsy for years. The illness stiffens his muscles, making him unable to move around freely, even talking is difficult. His 11 year-old sister also suffer from cerebral palsy. Her condition is even worse as she can't move at all and has to depend on other people for daily needs.
Their father, Ta Van Vuong, was diagnosed with cirrhotic ascites, stomach disease and a liver tumour. Doctor advised him to be admitted to hospital quickly but without money, he remains at home.
"I know my body. I only feel sad for my children if anything bad happens to me. Because both my children have an illness, my wife will face so much hardship and she has chronic headaches too," he said.

Ta Anh Tuan, party secretary of Cong Ly Commune, said, "When Vuong was still healthy, he sold bananas to support the family. His income wasn't high, but it was good enough. Now his wife has to shoulder everything. Whenever some charity groups or organisations arrive, we always introduce them to his household first."
Vuong's wife, Nguyen Thi Ha, said she got used to taking care of the children but she was worried about Vuong's health as doctors said they could help prolong his life if he was admitted to hospital, but if he stays at home, he might die at any time.
