At about 2 pm on Tuesday, patrol forces from the Danang Military Command detected a local man flying a drone over Nguyen Tat Thanh Beach in Hoa Khanh Ward, an area designated as a no-fly zone.
Authorities found the drone had repeatedly entered restricted airspace over several days, including during the Lunar New Year, potentially threatening flight safety at Danang International Airport.

They then confiscated the drone and drew up a report before transferring the case to police for further handling in accordance with the law.
Under the Government’s regulations on the management and use of unmanned aerial vehicles, the offender may face an administrative fine of up to VND 40 million (around USD 1,520) and confiscation of the device.
Unauthorised drone activity has become increasingly complex in recent years in Danang, particularly in coastal areas and residential zones near restricted air corridors.
The city’s Military Command has intensified inspections and coordinated with relevant agencies to crack down on violations, while expanding public awareness campaigns on no-fly and restricted airspace rules.
