A rare bull has just been found dead at Chu Mom Ray National Park in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum. The bull’s death was suspected to have been caused by a collision with a truck.

Dao Xuan Thuy, deputy director of Chu Mom Ray National Park, said that it was a male bull weighing 800 kilogrammes and is the list of endangered rare species which needs the government’s protection.
Thuy added that the bull was found dead on Road 674, the section belonging to Chu Mom Ray National Park, without any signs of being shot. However, a truck with the license plate BKS 82C-018.98 which was transporting 10 tonnes of stones was seen just some metres far from the dead bull. The front of the truck appeared to be slightly dented.
Truck driver Nguyen Thanh Hung said that the bull crashed into the truck.
According to Thuy, an autopsy will be conducted to find out the real cause of the bull death. He also noted that the bull often travel in herds, except when they are lost.
