A cold spell is expected to hit the northern region later this week with temperatures in some mountainous areas falling to below 15 degrees, ending the warm and sunny days.

A representative from the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, Hoang Phuc Lam told Dantri/Dtinews that the cold snap will start affecting some localities in the region on February 23 and last until February 25. Temperatures will fall to 15-20 degrees in Hanoi while the mountainous areas will experience colder weather with temperature further sinking to below 15 degrees.

“There will also be drizzle in the northern and central regions during this cold spell," Lam said.
