Scheduled to light up the sky for 15 minutes, the fireworks will begin at 9.45 pm on March 31, marking the commencement of this year's festivities on the island.

In addition to the fireworks, the festival will feature a Hot Air Balloon Festival on March 30-31, adding to the array of activities celebrating the island's tourism appeal. The event anticipates the participation of thirteen balloons, including three giant multicoloured hot air balloons, six first-class hot air balloons, and a selection of ground-level balloons, promising a mesmerising spectacle for attendees.
Organised by Cat Hai District, festivities will also include a variety of sporting events. Highlights include a men's volleyball tournament, the expanded Cat Hai Dragon Boat Racing Championship, and the thrilling Fastest X Cat Ba Amatina race, ensuring visitors' diverse and engaging programme.
Cat Ba Island saw an impressive influx of three million tourists last year, marking a 29.40 percent increase from the previous year, including 554,000 international visitors.
The island sets an ambitious target to attract 3.60 million visitors this year.
