The high-speed boat service between the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho and Con Dao Island off the coast of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province will resume operations after March 16.
Do Doan Hoai Vu, Director of the Mai Linh Tay Do Company, announced on February 23 that their Mai Linh Express high-speed boat service is set to operate again from March 16 after a three-month maintenance break.
"We’re currently accepting bookings for March 16 and onwards, but we may commence operations earlier as soon as the maintenance work is completed," Vu said, adding that tickets for economy class are priced at VND690,000, VND60,000 cheaper than last year.
Launched in July 2022, the Mai Linh Express can accommodate around 350 passengers with three seat tiers: 252 economy, 72 business, and 8 deluxe seats. The journey takes about four hours.
This remains the only high-speed boat service operating on this route.
