A bus ran into a cliff in the central highlands province of Lam Dam on August 5, killing three and seriously injuring 17 people.

The site of the accident
The 45-seat bus, travelling from Nha Trang to Da Lat, suddenly lost control and hit an object on the left side of the road before swerving into the other lane. It drove about 100 metres before ramming into the rock mountain. The was bus carrying about 40 tourists.
Two passengers and the driver were killed, while 14 others were immediately taken to hospital. One of the injured was Singaporean.
Some news sources have reported that most of the passengers on the bus were from the southern province of Long An.
