A cap-art exhibition organised in HCM City on June 5-12, the first of its kind held in the country, displayed colourful pictures with messages related to environmental protection.

The pictures made from soft drink glass bottle tops such as Pepsi, 7Up, Mirinda, Twister and Sting were selected from 1,300 works that were submitted to a recent online cap-art competition launched by PepsiCo Vietnam.
Contributors were particularly attracted by environmental messages which are displayed through very creative ways in every work.
Nguyen Thi Loan from District 1, HCM City, said, “This is the first time I’ve ever seen pictures made from such materials. I’m very happy to see that bottle tops can be recycled to make art work. This will help to reduce the impact of them being thrown away.”
David from the US shared, “I only intended to drop into Diamond Plaza for some shopping, but I was intrigued by the bottle top-art pictures. It is quite surprising to see such an exhibition in Vietnam. Information at the exhibition encouraged me to choose glass bottled soft drinks because they can be recycled and their caps can also be used to make impressive art work.”
The exhibition is also being held at Topcare supermarket at No. 336, Cau Giay Street, Hanoi. The event started from June 11 and will end on June 25.
