Many people buy banana blossoms for their homes that are sold along National Road 4D stretching from the Sa Pa tourist area to Lao Cai city.
The busiest area is Chung Leng Ho village at Toong Sanh Commune, Bat Xat District. Banana blossoms here are grown at 800 metres above sea level approaching Sa Pa where there is a temperate climate so its blossoms turn out very beautiful and have durable colour.
This is among the reasons why many people in Sa Pa and other cities tend to enjoy banana blossoms during Tet.
In addition, its price is very cheap, ranging from VND3,000-10,000 ($0.16-0.5) per unit.
