After being upgraded, the stadium will have four basement levels, two floors, stands and service facilities such as cinemas, shopping and event facilities.
Last year, Hang Day, built in 1934, was closed for VND10 billion (USD448,000) of improvements to meet Asian Football Confederation standards.
Besides the main facilities, Hang Day Stadium will have services such as shopping centres and a cinema
In the past, the 22,500-seat stadium was the national team’s home ground. It also hosted clubs like The Cong, Hoa Phat Hanoi and Hanoi ACB.
Boyugues is an industrial group specialising in construction, real estate development, media and telecommunications. The firm built Parc des Princes Stadium in Paris in 1972 and rebuilt Stade Velodrome in Marseille in 2011.
