According to the festival organisers, dining aboard a hot-air balloon is one of the new attractions this year. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy meals served by chefs in this unusual setting.

Places will be limited, with schedules and available time slots to be announced on the event's official website.

The festival is organised by the Vietnam Exposition Centre under the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee and the city's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. It aims to establish a distinctive culinary and cultural event for the capital, combining food experiences with international exchanges, music and the arts.

Covering more than 43,000 square metres in the southern grounds of the Vietnam Exposition Centre, the festival will bring together more than 200 food and beverage brands.

Activities will run from 10 am to 11 pm each day over the three-day event, including live cooking demonstrations, meetings with chefs, cooking competitions, culinary workshops and performances.

One of the festival's main professional attractions will be the Global BBQ Championship, featuring chefs from several countries. Organisers expect around 30 international chefs, alongside Vietnamese chefs and culinary artisans, to prepare and present dishes and share their cooking techniques.

The food area will be divided into sections showcasing Hanoi cuisine, Asian food and European specialities.

In the section dedicated to the capital's culinary heritage, visitors will be able to explore street food and well-known local brands associated with familiar landmarks such as Dong Xuan Market and Tong Duy Tan Street.

The international food section will feature dishes from Japan, South Korea, China and other countries.

Alongside the culinary programme, the festival will also host an international music concert and a cultural exchange space showcasing traditions from around the world.

Organisers are targeting approximately 150,000 visitors over the three days.
