According to the Dong Nai People's Committee, the initiative aims to spread the message of living in harmony with nature, protecting the environment and preserving biodiversity, ahead of the 330th anniversary of the formation and development of the Dong Nai region.

The release was part of a series of events marking the announcement of a Prime Ministerial decision to transfer management of Cat Tien National Park to the Dong Nai People's Committee.

Covering more than 72,000 hectares, Cat Tien National Park is home to more than 1,600 plant species and over 1,700 species of wild animals.

In 2001, UNESCO recognised the park as a World Biosphere Reserve. In 2005, its Bau Sau wetlands were designated a Ramsar site of international importance.

The park was recognised as a special national relic site in 2012. In 2024, it became the first national park in Vietnam to be included on the Green List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
