According to the indictment, in the early hours of February 8, HCM City police inspected a business venue on Vo Van Kiet Street in Cau Ong Lanh Ward and found several people allegedly using illegal drugs.

Before the inspection, Choi had bought two packets of ketamine from Yoon for VND 7 million (approximately USD 273). He brought the drugs to the venue on February 8, used part of them in a toilet and kept more than 1 gram for future use. Investigators discovered and seized the remaining drugs.

Choi also supplied drugs to another person for use in the venue's toilet, according to the investigation.

Yoon had bought three packets of ketamine for VND 10.5 million before reselling two of them to Choi for VND 7 million. When police conducted their inspection, investigators seized 0.3 grams of drugs that Yoon had kept for personal use.
