The city's People's Committee has endorsed the concept for the annual Lunar New Year attraction, which will celebrate the Year of the Goat through three sections themed "Connection", "Convergence", and "Transformation and Breakthrough".
The design will combine traditional cultural values and regional characteristics with technology, innovation and the city's development ambitions.
Near the Ho Chi Minh Monument, yellow apricot blossoms will dominate the decorations, with stylised five-petalled flowers, floral baskets and low-level arrangements creating a southern spring atmosphere while preserving the site's solemn character.
Following the approval, the municipal People's Committee instructed Saigontourist Group to coordinate with the Department of Culture and Sports and relevant agencies to implement the design on schedule.
The 2027 Nguyen Hue Flower Street will continue to serve as a cultural attraction for residents and tourists during Tet, highlighting the connection between tradition and modernity, local identity and Ho Chi Minh City's aspirations for growth.
