On October 24, the Tuyen Lam Lake Tourist Area Management Board in Daldat, Lam Dong Province, said it was coordinating with relevant agencies to arrange a meeting to thank the American tourist for his bravery.
The incident occurred at around 3.45 pm on October 23, when a female tourist fell into water approximately three to four metres deep at Tuyen Lam Lake.
An American tourist identified as Laszlo, who was sightseeing nearby, spotted the woman struggling and immediately jumped into the lake to rescue her.
Staff from the tourist area's management board quickly arrived and joined Laszlo and local residents in bringing the woman safely ashore.
The management board praised his swift and courageous response, saying the combined efforts of the tourist, staff and local residents had helped save the woman from danger.
