Located in a coastal park near Tran Phu Street, the car park allows private cars, tourist vehicles and passenger coaches to park free of charge.
Signs at the site clearly state that parking is free, although trucks and vehicles carrying bulky goods or construction materials are prohibited. Drivers are responsible for securing their belongings.

The parking area has been covered with gravel to prevent vehicles from becoming stuck in muddy conditions.
Le Huu Bang, a tourist from Lam Dong Province, said he was surprised to find such a large free parking area in the city centre.
He said finding parking in urban areas was increasingly difficult, with hourly charges common and overnight parking sometimes costing several hundred thousand dong.
Bang hoped the free parking arrangement would continue, describing it as a welcome convenience for visitors.
Nguyen Thanh Son, Chairman of Nha Trang Ward People's Committee, said the land previously formed part of the Evason Ana Mandara resort project.
After the lease expired, the state reclaimed the site and assigned it to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Land Fund Development Centre for management.
While awaiting procedures to auction the land-use rights, the former Nha Trang City authorities obtained provincial permission to use the site temporarily as a free car park.
The arrangement was intended to serve residents and tourists while easing pressure on urban traffic.
Son said the car park would remain free until the province proceeded with the land auction, when the site would be handed back in accordance with regulations.
The ward also operates around five paid motorcycle parking areas near the beach.
Son said motorcycle parking fees were necessary to cover staffing costs, reduce the risk of theft and maintain security and order in public areas.
