In the first nine months of 2026, retail sales in Danang increased by 14 per cent, while revenue from accommodation and food services rose by 21.7 per cent and other services grew by 23.4 per cent.

Growth across all three sectors exceeded the respective national rates. Danang recorded the highest growth among cities in retail sales and accommodation and food services. In other services, however, Quang Ninh posted growth of 34.1 per cent and Hue 27.3 per cent, both ahead of Danang.
The city’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated to have grown by 10.31 per cent year on year in the first nine months of 2026, with growth accelerating from 9.31 per cent in the first quarter to 11.83 per cent in the third quarter.
The services sector made the largest contribution to overall growth, accounting for more than half of the increase in GRDP. It expanded by 12.39 per cent in the third quarter alone.
Danang ranked third among the country’s cities for GRDP growth in both the third quarter and the first nine months of the year. It also led the South Central Coast region in the third quarter.
Le Ngoc Quang, secretary of the Danang Party Committee, urged local authorities and departments to step up efforts to meet the city’s growth targets.
“Tourism and services have generated strong spillover effects, with visitor numbers and other indicators showing very positive growth. We need to do even better in this sector. We must achieve double-digit growth in services,” he said.
