The day before, a commune police patrol found the snake near a residential area in Chien Mon Village, Chieng Khoong Commune, while conducting traffic checks.

To protect both residents and the wild animal, officers captured the python and moved it to a safe location.
Chieng Khoong Commune Police later worked with relevant authorities to release the snake into a protected forest in accordance with regulations.

Police urged residents not to illegally hunt, trade, transport or keep wild animals in captivity.
Anyone who encounters wildlife should avoid approaching, capturing or injuring the animal, maintain a safe distance and notify the police or forest rangers so they can respond appropriately.
