A foreign man has been filmed holding on to a motorbike while skateboarding through Nha Trang, prompting traffic police to investigate.

A 19-second clip circulating online shows the foreign man holding on to the back of a service motorbike while riding a skateboard through Nha Trang.

The footage has drawn criticism from viewers, who said the stunt could endanger both the man involved and other road users. Residents have urged authorities to intervene and take steps to prevent similar behaviour.

“Holding on to a motorbike while skateboarding like that is extremely dangerous. I hope the authorities take action soon,” a user named Thanh Quan commented.

According to Khanh Hoa traffic police, patrol teams have inspected more than 720 cases involving foreign nationals riding motorbikes since the beginning of the year. Officers have issued administrative fines in 210 cases, totalling more than VND 610 million (about USD 23,500).

In September, Khanh Hoa police permanently expelled a female tourist from Vietnam after she was found performing dangerous and inappropriate manoeuvres on a motorbike.
