Motorbike shop fire destroys vehicles in Ho Chi Minh City

A motorbike shop on Nguyen Thi Tu Street in Ho Chi Minh City caught fire early Wednesday, destroying several vehicles and causing parts of the building to collapse.

The fire broke out at a motorbike shop on Nguyen Thi Tu Street in Binh Tan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, early on October 7, with several vehicles destroyed and parts of the building collapsing.

Speaking to Dantri on the morning of October 7, a Binh Tan Ward official said local authorities were working with relevant agencies to determine the cause of the fire.

Initial reports said emergency services received a call about the blaze at 3.24 am.

The Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Division dispatched several officers and specialised vehicles to the scene.

Firefighters and local authorities arrived at 3.28 am, tackling the blaze and taking measures to prevent it from spreading to nearby areas.

The fire was brought under control after about 30 minutes.

At the scene, intense heat damaged the shop's structure, causing several sections to collapse. Several motorbikes and other property inside were destroyed by the flames.

Police are investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the extent of the damage.
