The second Son La Coffee Festival will be held at Tay Bac Square, featuring cultural events, trade promotion, investment activities and coffee experiences.
The festival aims to promote the Son La coffee brand, expand markets for Arabica products and showcase the province's culture and tourism.
It will also honour coffee growers, processors and businesses, including 45 farming households recognised for outstanding achievements in coffee cultivation and the application of new farming techniques.
A highlight will be a drone light show themed 'Son La Arabica-Reaching the World' on the evening of October 10.
Five hundred drones will form images in the night sky accompanied by music, depicting Son La Arabica coffee and its journey to international markets.
Coffee has become a key crop in Son La. In 2025, the province exported 27,800 tonnes of Arabica coffee worth about USD 112.38 million, accounting for nearly half of its total goods exports.
By the end of 2025, Son La had 26,120 hectares under coffee cultivation, accounting for 47.5 per cent of Vietnam's Arabica-growing area.
Provincial authorities are developing concentrated coffee-growing areas, introducing varieties suited to local conditions and promoting production that meets domestic, international and importer standards.
They are also seeking to expand deep processing to increase the value of Son La coffee and strengthen its international brand.
Other festival activities include a coffee exhibition, a sustainable coffee development workshop, trade networking events, a photo exhibition, an Arabica concert and a farm-to-cup coffee experience.
Diplomatic representatives, international organisations, experts and domestic and foreign coffee businesses are also expected to attend.
