According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, northern Vietnam would be cold overnight and in the morning, with colder conditions in some mountainous areas. Skies are expected to clear around midday, with sunshine in the afternoon.

As rain eases in the north, the focus of heavy rainfall will shift to central Vietnam.
Ha Tinh to Hue is forecast to receive 50-100 mm of rain, exceeding 200 mm in some areas, with intense downpours of more than 100 mm in three hours possible.
Intense rain could cause urban flooding, flash floods and landslides, while thunderstorms may bring whirlwinds, lightning and strong gusts.
Hanoi will be cloudy with isolated rain overnight before skies clear around midday. Temperatures are forecast at 20-22 degrees Celsius overnight and 27-29 degrees during the day.
The north-west and north-east will see similar conditions, with lows of 19-22 degrees and below 18 degrees in some mountainous areas.
From Thanh Hoa to Hue, downpours will be concentrated from Ha Tinh southwards, while Thanh Hoa will turn cooler. Temperatures will range from 23 to 29 degrees.
The south-central coast, Central Highlands and southern Vietnam are forecast to see scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally torrential rain, particularly in the afternoon and evening.
HCM City will see scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, with temperatures ranging from 24 to 34 degrees.
