Speaking at a meeting on October 5, Nguyen Thi Mai Huong, deputy director of the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the city would hold a series of cultural and artistic events at heritage and cultural sites to mark the anniversary.

The programmes have been taking place since late September, with activities peaking in October to create a festive atmosphere for residents and visitors while promoting Hanoi's heritage and cultural spaces.
This year, fireworks will be launched at West Lake and at Hoan Kiem Lake, in front of Hanoi Post Office in Hoan Kiem Ward. The displays are scheduled to begin at 9 pm on October 10.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said West Lake's large expanse of water, unobstructed views and wide viewing area would make it an attractive location for watching the fireworks.
The display at West Lake will feature high- and low-altitude fireworks, water fireworks and pyrotechnic effects, with 900 fireworks racks positioned on the lake.
A separate launch site will be set up in front of Hanoi Post Office, featuring high- and low-altitude fireworks and pyrotechnic effects, with 350 fireworks racks positioned on Hoan Kiem Lake.
