The Lam Dong Civil Defence Command said on October 4 that heavy rain from October 2-4 had flooded and damaged 55 homes in B'Lao Ward and the communes of Cat Tien, Cat Tien 2 and Bao Lam 2.
Affected residents were evacuated to safety and returned to clean their homes after floodwaters receded.

At Doi Dep Tourist Area in B'Lao Ward, flooding reached accommodation facilities, forcing 30 tourists to evacuate. The floods also damaged walls, fences and an electronic gate, with initial losses estimated at about VND 4.5 billion.
Heavy rain also damaged infrastructure and triggered landslides along roads and slopes in Cat Tien 2 Commune, B'Lao Ward and Xuan Huong-Dalat Ward.
Agriculture was also badly affected, with 323 hectares of crops flooded as of October 4. Cat Tien 2 Commune accounted for about 243 hectares, while 74 hectares of rice were flooded in Cat Tien Commune and around six hectares of roses and vegetables in Langbiang-Dalat Ward.
Moderate to heavy rain, including very heavy rain in some areas, was recorded across parts of Lam Dong over the previous 24 hours. Further rain is forecast, raising the risk of landslides in steep and geologically unstable areas and flooding in low-lying locations.
The Civil Defence Command said it was maintaining round-the-clock monitoring of high-risk areas, clearing landslide debris from roads and overseeing reservoir operations to reduce downstream flooding.
