The 20th Asian Games officially concluded on October 4 with a closing ceremony at Paloma Mizuho Stadium in Nagoya, Japan.
Vietnam's 348-athlete delegation won three gold, three silver and 19 bronze medals to finish 20th overall.

China topped the medal table with 169 gold, 89 silver and 83 bronze medals.
Vietnam fell short of its target of four gold medals, a target some observers considered modest given the size of the delegation.
Shooting, sepak takraw, athletics, rowing, karate, taekwondo and esports had been identified as Vietnam's main gold-medal hopes.
After two weeks of competition, however, only sepak takraw and karate delivered gold medals. Both sports had also won gold for Vietnam at the previous Asian Games.
Vietnam's three gold medals came from the women's doubles and women's quadrant events in sepak takraw and karate.
