Lam Dong Province will hold a series of cultural, arts, sports and tourism events through early December to promote its heritage and tourism.

The activities, running from September 25 to December 5, will mark Vietnam Culture Day on November 24, with most major events scheduled for November.

One of the highlights will be the Lang Biang International Music Festival in Dalat from November 13 to 15, bringing together Vietnamese and international artists for performances and cultural exchanges.

The province will then hold its first Mass Arts Festival from November 16 to 20, featuring performances and cultural traditions from communities across Lam Dong.

Other events will include an arts programme marking Vietnam Culture Day and activities linked to the 11th Dalat Flower Festival.

Film screenings, book and photo exhibitions and traditional cultural programmes will also be held at tourism accommodation establishments, giving visitors opportunities to experience local culture.

Sporting events will include the Lam Dong Trail running race, combining outdoor activities with exploration of the province's natural landscapes.

Another highlight will be an ao dai parade themed 'A Thousand Colours of Ao Dai-Spreading Vietnamese Culture', expected to draw about 1,000 participants to Lam Vien Square in Dalat.

The province said the programme was aimed at raising public awareness of cultural preservation while showcasing Lam Dong's culture, people and landscapes to domestic and international visitors.

By combining cultural activities with tourism, Lam Dong also hopes to encourage visitors to stay longer and explore more of the province.
