The results were announced at an awards ceremony in the Maldives on September 27, recognising a range of the city's tourism products and brands across entertainment, resorts and luxury accommodation.
Among the Asian-level awards, Sun World Ba Na Hills won two titles: Asia's Leading Theme Park 2026 and Asia's Leading Cable Car 2026.
In the resort category, Hoi An Memories Resort & Spa received Asia's Leading Cultural Resort 2026, while Hoiana Resort & Golf was named Asia's Leading Fully Integrated Resort 2026. Shilla Monogram Danang won Asia's Leading Lifestyle Resort 2026.
InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort took two titles in the luxury segment: Asia's Leading Luxury Resort 2026 and Asia's Leading Luxury Hotel Villa 2026 for its Bai Bac Bay Villa.
At the national level, Danang secured six awards. Four Points by Sheraton Danang was named Vietnam's Leading Beach Hotel 2026, while voco Ma Belle Danang by IHG won Vietnam's Leading City Lifestyle Hotel 2026.
Beachfront Villa at Naman Retreat received Vietnam's Leading Luxury Hotel Villa 2026, while InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort was named Vietnam's Leading Luxury Resort 2026.
The remaining two titles went to Hotel Royal Hoi An Danang, which won Vietnam's Leading Riverfront Hotel 2026, and Sun World Ba Na Hills, which received Vietnam's Leading Theme Park 2026.
According to the Danang Tourism Promotion Centre, this year's awards cover a broad range of tourism products rather than being concentrated in a single segment.
From theme parks and cable cars to cultural resorts, integrated resorts, beach hotels, lifestyle hotels and luxury villas, the awards reflect the diversity of tourism products available in the city.
Danang's tourism landscape is also expanding through connections between the city centre, Ba Na, Son Tra Peninsula, Hoi An and southern areas. Products are increasingly being developed to combine entertainment, leisure, cultural experiences and high-end accommodation, offering more options for different groups of travellers.
The recognition of 13 products and brands at the 2026 World Travel Awards adds to Danang's international profile as the city works to diversify its tourism offerings and improve the quality of visitor experiences.
