The Dong Nai Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board and contractors launched work on component project 2-2 after most of the required land had been handed over.
The project covers the expressway section from Chau Duc Bridge to Thu Bien Bridge, including Thu Bien Bridge, and will be developed under a public-private partnership (PPP).
The Ring Road 4 section through Dong Nai stretches more than 46 km, from Xuan Duong Commune to Thuong Tan Commune. Component project 2-2 is scheduled for completion in 2029.
An earlier component covering compensation, resettlement and construction of frontage and service roads broke ground on June 30, with investment of more than VND 10.04 trillion (USD 382 million).
HCMC Ring Road 4 will run for more than 200 km through HCM City, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh, improving regional links.
More than 440 hectares of land across nine communes and wards in Dong Nai need to be cleared for the project. More than 235 hectares in the first phase have so far been handed over, accounting for nearly 80 per cent of the required area.
