Bac Ninh's Department of Industry and Trade, Dantri Newspaper and the Bac Ninh Industrial Manufacturing Association will jointly organise the Go Global Bac Ninh 2026 forum on October 10, under the direction of the Bac Ninh People's Committee.

With the theme “From local supply chains to cross-border markets”, the forum will examine how Vietnamese businesses can move beyond simply being able to manufacture products to becoming suppliers selected by global corporations.
The event, part of the Vietnam ESG Forum 2026 programme under the theme “Seizing opportunities - Leading growth”, will take a broader approach to going global.
For Vietnamese businesses, expanding internationally does not necessarily have to begin with exports. It can start at home, by becoming suppliers to foreign-invested enterprises and international supply chains operating in Vietnam.
The programme will focus on two approaches: “Global locally”, which aims to connect Vietnamese businesses with international buyers and FDI supply chains, and “Global cross-border”, which seeks to create opportunities for Vietnamese products, brands and services to reach international customers directly.
As Bac Ninh expands its electronics and high-tech industries and attracts growing numbers of foreign-invested businesses, experts will examine areas where Vietnamese companies can participate, from electronics and semiconductors to supporting industries.
Discussions will also cover the technology, quality, management, human resources and research and development requirements businesses must meet to gradually strengthen their position in global value chains.
From the perspective of buyers, representatives of FDI corporations will discuss their demand for locally sourced products, components and services, and criteria for selecting suppliers.
The programme will also feature practical experiences from Vietnamese businesses that have moved from “being able to manufacture” to “being selected”, focusing on improvements in technology, quality, management, human resources and research and development capabilities.
For international markets, speakers will discuss opportunities for cross-border exports through e-commerce, along with requirements relating to products, standards, branding and operational capacity.
Financing for upgrading production, expanding scale and meeting supply-chain requirements will also be addressed.
The forum's main discussion will be titled “From ‘being able to manufacture’ to ‘being selected’: How can Vietnamese businesses enter global supply chains?”
Participants will examine localisation needs among international corporations, product and service categories where Vietnamese businesses have room to expand, and gaps in quality, technology, productivity, delivery, management and standards.
ESG requirements in supply chains will also be discussed as international buyers increasingly consider environmental, social and governance standards when selecting business partners.
Alongside the professional sessions, the programme is expected to include a cooperation signing ceremony involving Bac Ninh City, Amazon Global Selling and the Bac Ninh Industrial Manufacturing Association, aimed at supporting local businesses in expanding their markets.
The Bac Ninh Semiconductor Association is also expected to be launched, focusing on supply-chain connections, the development of Vietnamese businesses and suppliers, and links between human resources, technology and research and development capabilities and FDI enterprises.
Drawing on discussions at the forum and the results of a business survey, organisers plan to compile a “Go Global Bac Ninh 2027 Action Programme”, setting out practical solutions to help businesses strengthen their capabilities, connect with buyers and expand into new markets.
