Authorities in Xuan Huong-Dalat Ward, Lam Dong Province on September 25 coordinated with relevant units to inspect a cracked section on Mimosa Pass and install warning signs to ensure public safety.
Officials recorded a 50-metre crack about 500 metres from Xuan Huong Bridge. The downslope embankment in the area has shown signs of subsidence and displacement from its original position.

Authorities have also proposed a temporary remedy by opening an auxiliary route along the upslope embankment to allow vehicles to pass and reduce pressure on the damaged section of road.
Mimosa Pass stretches 11 kilometres along National Highway 20 and plays an important role in linking Dalat with southern provinces for trade and transport.
Earlier, prolonged heavy rain in late November and early December 2025 caused severe subsidence and landslides on Mimosa Pass. At Km226, the road surface was torn apart and collapsed into a ravine about 30 metres deep, creating a rupture roughly 100 metres long.
Authorities later invested in the Xuan Huong viaduct project to maintain traffic flow.
