The National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that on September 25, the area from Nghe An to northern Quang Tri Province would see moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, with rainfall generally at 30-60mm and isolated areas receiving more than 150mm.

The meteorological agency warned of the risk of intense rainfall exceeding 80mm within three hours.
During the same period, southern Quang Tri Province, Khanh Hoa Province, eastern Lam Dong Province, the Central Highlands and southern Vietnam are expected to have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms. Rainfall is forecast at 20-40mm, with some places seeing heavy rain of more than 100mm.
Thunderstorms may bring whirlwinds, lightning, hail and strong gusts. From the night of September 25 to September 26, the area from Nghe An to northern Quang Tri Province is expected to continue seeing rain and moderate rain, with isolated heavy to very heavy downpours of 20-40mm and some places above 80mm.
Heavy rain may cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban zones and industrial parks, while also increasing the risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams and landslides on steep slopes.
