The municipal Department of Health said on September 14 that 4,444,402 people had been examined as of September 13, with electronic health records created for 4,179,045 of them.
Among key population groups, more than 1.84 million children and school students have received health checks, equivalent to 71 per cent of the group. The figures were 35,973, or 8.6 per cent, among university students and 716,024, or 15.9 per cent, among workers.

The city recorded 221,560 health checks between September 7 and 14, up sharply from 130,754 the previous week. The final figure is expected to rise as healthcare facilities continue updating their data.
Coverage has also improved across the city. Of its 168 wards, communes and special zones, 112 have now screened at least 30 per cent of their populations, accounting for two-thirds of all localities. Thirty-four have reached at least 50 per cent, while six have surpassed 70 per cent.
Thanh An Commune leads with 98.2 per cent, followed by Phuoc Thang Ward at 95.8 per cent. Other high-performing localities include An Nhon Tay Commune at 77.5 per cent, Vinh Loc Commune at 75.7 per cent, Long Phuoc Ward at 73.5 per cent and An Thoi Dong Commune at 72.9 per cent.
Meanwhile, only six of the city's 168 localities still have coverage rates below 20 per cent.
Alongside expanding health checks, the city is accelerating the digitalisation of health data. Residents whose 2026 check-up results are not yet in their electronic health records can submit them through the city's digital citizen app.
From September 15, authorities will stop issuing new paper forms and shift to online submissions. Existing paper forms must be entered by September 20, after which updates will be online only.
The health sector will continue focusing on areas with coverage below 30 per cent and population groups with relatively low participation while ensuring examination results are incorporated into electronic health records.
The longer-term goal is to move beyond simply increasing the number of people screened and build more comprehensive health databases to support continuous healthcare and long-term health management.
