The incident occurred at Sapaly Hotel on Nguyen Hue Street on the evening of September 12.
The victim was identified as Jojun, 37, who had been staying in room 1605 since August 29 and was due to check out on September 15.
Initial findings indicate that he left his room and went to the 17th floor before falling from a balcony area at around 6.30 pm.
Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
